Website and care terms
The signed quotation and client agreement set the contract. Ask a Scottish solicitor to review the final agreement before taking client work.
1. Scope
The quotation lists the pages, features, revision allowance, Premium route, care plan, third-party services and exclusions. We agree and price extra work before starting it.
2. Build payment
You pay 50% of the build price before work starts. You pay the balance and agreed extras before launch, domain connection or final handover.
3. Essential and Premium
Essential provides the public website without online order or booking submission. Premium adds the Lite, Integrated or future Direct route named in the quotation. Premium starts at £849. Existing Essential clients can upgrade from £500 plus route-specific extras.
4. Care plans
Essential Care costs £19 per month and Premium Care costs £39 per month unless the quotation says otherwise. You pay monthly in advance and can cancel at any time. Care ends on the last day of the paid month. We do not refund part of a month.
5. Domain
The build price covers a standard first-year domain. I confirm any extra cost before purchase. I register the client using the correct business or proprietor details. We agree the renewal payment before the renewal date.
6. Business email
Business email is an optional monthly add-on. The working estimate is about £6 per mailbox, but the supplier sets the price. I can pass on a supplier price change after giving notice. Email migration requires a separate quotation.
7. Premium Lite
A WhatsApp message asks the business to accept an order or appointment. The customer must press Send. Staff must reply with acceptance or refusal and a confirmed time. Clyde Valley Web Studio cannot guarantee that the client's staff will monitor or answer messages.
8. Premium Integrated
The selected provider controls its service availability, features, payment methods, subscriptions, commissions, processing fees, devices and data access. Clyde Valley Web Studio cannot guarantee that a provider will continue a product or feature.
9. Premium Direct
Premium Direct remains in development. I will offer it only when a later written quotation names it.
10. Client responsibilities
The client supplies and approves the business details, prices, menus, services, hours, images, claims, policies, allergen information and operating procedures. The client must monitor and fulfil orders, bookings and enquiries.
11. Ownership and reuse
After full payment, the client receives the rights listed in the agreement for the client-specific website and supplied content. Clyde Valley Web Studio keeps its reusable templates, methods and general-purpose code. The client keeps its business data and domain-registration rights.
12. Handover and cancellation
After the client pays all invoices, I can provide the standard handover described in the agreement. A move to another registrar, host, email provider or platform may require a separate quotation.
13. Search, availability and liability
Clyde Valley Web Studio does not guarantee a search ranking, indexing date, uninterrupted service, sales result or third-party outcome. The signed agreement sets the liability limits and exclusions.
14. Governing law
Scots law governs the contract unless the agreement says otherwise. The Scottish courts have jurisdiction.
